Prayer

The sacredness and dignity of every individual flow from creation by God and are fulfilled in salvation through Jesus Christ. Spiritual formation and growth is essential to intellectual, personal, and social maturity.

Christian prayer is a covenant relationship between God and man in Christ. It establishes us as children of God and creates a habit of being in the presence of God and in communion with God.

Chapel of St. Michael the Archangel

Always open for personal and communal prayer in addition to hosting Daily Mass, Reconciliation, Bible Study, Rosary, and more.
Pilgrimages

Offering international pilgrimage opportunities during the summer for students to experience Christianity around the world.
Priestly Vocations
Opportunities for vocational discernment to the Priesthood include:
- Discussions in Theology classrooms
- "Come & See" Field Trip (twice a year) to the Seminary at Seton Hall University
- Providing Pastoral Formation to Seminarians who witness to priestly vocational discernment and assist in a variety of ministerial needs
Daily Mass
- Every morning from 8:05 to 8:30 (only 25 minutes long) in the school Chapel.
- Tuesday 1st half of lunch (11:20-11:45) in the school Chapel (only 20 minutes long).
- Thursday 2nd half of lunch (11:45-12:15) in the school Chapel (only 20 minutes long).
Knights of Setonia
The Knights of Setonia is the most prestigious and long-standing tradition at The Prep. Being a Knight of Setonia is about prayer, service, and community. A Knight of Setonia carries on the legacy of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, knowing the importance of spirituality and service in our modern world.

A Knight of Setonia will commit himself to a three-fold pledge:
- Attend all Knights of Setonia Masses
- Visit the Chapel weekly for prayer
- Perform 20 hours of community service
Liturgical Ministries
Students can participate in a variety of Liturgical Ministries:
- Lectors: Read at Mass
- Altar Servers: Assist at Mass
- Music Ministry: Sing and play an instrument at Mass
- Eucharistic Ministry: Help distribute Holy Communion at Mass
Morning Prayer

Morning Prayer is broadcasted daily school-wide over the loudspeaker. Prayer intentions for the sick/suffering and deceased are included every Friday.
Sacrament of Reconciliation/Confession

The Sacrament of Reconciliation/Confession is offered during lunch every Friday ("Fresh Start Friday") in the Chapel and at all times upon request. Lenten Reconciliation Services are held for all Theology classes. These services include prayer, examination of conscience and the opportunity for private Reconciliation.
Eucharistic Adoration
An opportunity to spend time in prayerful contemplation of Our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament
- Every second Tuesday of the month (8:30 AM to 3:00 PM).
Bible Study/Lectio Divina
Reading, meditating upon, and discussing the Word of God in Sacred Scripture.
- Tuesdays during Activity Period.
Rosary
A beautiful devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary.
- Every Wednesday immediately after school.
