Seton Hall Prep is New Jersey’s oldest Catholic college preparatory school. The Prep's tradition is matched by its commitment to the education of young men by teaching them to think critically, communicate effectively and become contributing members of society.
At Seton Hall Prep, students participate in many of the amazing offerings available to them outside of the classroom. This includes 15 sports, more than 70 activities and clubs, a variety of intramurals and a seemingly endless number of service projects.
“To equip the holy ones for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, until we all attain to the unity of faith and knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the extent of the full stature of Christ.”
Seton Hall Prep participated in Friday's Jubilee Mass for Catholic Schools at the Cathedral Basilica of the Sacred Heart in Newark.
On Friday, September 12 a Jubilee Mass for Catholic Schools was celebrated by Joseph Cardinal Tobin at the Cathedral Basilica of the Sacred Heart in Newark. There are 64 Catholic schools in the Archdiocese of Newark teaching 22,000 students in total. Each school was asked to invite a representative group of 25 people to this joyous event. Our Seton Hall Prep delegation (pictured) consisted of students as well as administrators, teachers and parents, including Headmaster Michael G. Gallo ‘79. President Msgr. Michael E. Kelly ‘57 and Chaplain Fr. Bogumil Misiuk ‘08 concelebrated the Mass with the Cardinal. Msgr. Kelly received special recognition for his lifelong service to Catholic education in the Archdiocese. Today’s Jubilee Mass emphasized the importance of Catholic schools in northern New Jersey, and Seton Hall Prep’s participation in this event underscored our school’s commitment to our Catholic identity and mission.
